Helllllo, my millions of adoring fans pals! GMSTW has officially come to a close, and let me just say, it was a roaring success. I got almost everything done! And you know what? I'm proud of myself. It took A LOT of energy and effort and courage for me to see all those doctors and commit to myself and I DID IT. Now, making this an annual shin dig is the next step.
Today I woke up and cleaned out all of the junk in my car and I put it away. Normally, I just haul everything inside, but today I actually put everything away! Then I put up our outdoor fall decorations, which, admittedly, is not much. I came inside and cleaned up all the clothes in my room. I have an awesome habit of just throwing my clean laundry wherever is most convenient. Nasur loves it. Secretly of course. I sorted through all my socks and I made room in a drawer for my exercise clothes to make it easier to pack up my stuff for the gym tomorrow. While doing this, I made cookies - I still haven't eaten one, which must be the Ozempic taking the wheel. I followed my good pal, Bri's recipe. I had made them once before and they were good, but I didn't exactly follow the recipe, so I wanted to try again. I had the butter on the counter for like 3 days, so I made them last night and baked them today. I also made his pesto pasta salad for sharing tonight. It is so good!
Anywho, I also ironed everybody's shirts for photos tonight and then decided to try out a new recipe for healthy eating. I made the kids some mac and cheese because of their immature palates (and ate some myself), and then watched some TV while cheese grating my feet and plucking my chin hairs. My feet are so, so smooth!
I then rushed over to the car wash where I have a monthly membership and got my car washed, vacuumed it out, and then had it washed again because I can get as many washes as I want with my membership. Then I went home and showered. I got the kiddos bathed and ready after that and then we headed off for family photos!
After family photos, we joined some friends for dinner. My pal Stephen is a legit chef and made a brisket that was so, so good. We contributed pasta salad and also got to eat his peach crumble with ice cream. Noms. Palisade peach season in Colorado is just wrapping up, so I'm glad we got to enjoy some.
We came home and got the kiddos in bed. I pre-charted for my first day in the office from 8a-3p and now here I am, writing to you to tell you how awesome I did at GMSTW. This was my initial check list, so let's recap!
