Productivity compromised

Okay. Today's productivity was compromised by a long morning nap. I probably didn't have to nap, but it took me until past midnight to fall asleep and then I was woken up at 2:30 a.m. by a random phone call from someone in Uganda. In addition to waking up every hour or so after that, I had a 7:00 a.m. breakfast meeting, which meant being up early anyway. By the time I'd left the meeting, I was pretty pooped and came home, tried to study for a bit, and promptly decided napping was better. And then I slept for 3 hours. Whoops.

After my nap was over, I ran back to school to do some stuff for letters of recommendation. And before I knew it, it was coming to 2:00 p.m. and I hadn't eaten lunch. I didn't go to the gym either. And showering? Um, nope. So basically it was a struggle day. I didn't get much studying in either. I decided to tackle hematology today and let me tell you, blood is difficult. So many disorders and they're all so similar.

After finally having lunch, I studied some more and headed to the gym for a session with the elliptical. I read some Harry Potter while cardio-ing it up. Near the end of my cardio sesh, I got real gassy. Like squeeze the buttcheeks together lest your bowels betray you gassy. And of course the man on the elliptical wasn't wearing headphones so I couldn't just let myself go. Womp, womp. Totes uncomfortable. And so when I got home, making dinner was not exactly high on the priority list because of my stomach.

And now I'm going to try to get my sleep schedule back on schedule and get my butt back into making meals properly.

Wish me luck!

Breakfast?
Rainy day blues
Kitty in the window likes rain
Kitty in the window creeping on me
Pre-gaming my lunch
Reheated lunch (not so delicious)
Delicious
Snack before the gym
Post-gym fuel
Today's positive: getting my butt to the gym despite not being able to go in the morning.

Not as much pain as I expected

I've been told by some of my friends that day two of having your wisdom teeth out is the absolute worst because this is when the numbness stops and the pains sets in. Uh, I woke up to no pain. Win! And I don't even look that swollen or bruised.
Anywho, once I was up, I made some breakfast. I decided to finish up my eggs and had three egg whites with one whole egg.
I also made some oatmeal that I started making this week. It was pretty yummy. I think I've definitely decided I like the vanilla better.
Then I headed off to see Harry Potter 7, Part 2. I must say that though the last movie was the epitome of awesome, I left it feeling sad because there will be no more films. Oh, J.K. Rowling. You should've made the series longer!

After the movie, I came home, changed into my swimsuit, and headed over to my mom's house to lay out in/by the pool and read. On my way, I grabbed another smoothie from my favorite smoothie place and was all set for a nice afternoon by the pool rereading the first Harry Potter (the UK version) and eating my smoothie with a spoon:
After about 2 hours outside, I started getting hungry for real food, so I went inside and made some potstickers because I figured they'd be soft enough to eat.
They were pretty yummy. And so was dinner!
Sloppy Joe meat, zucchini
And Malena made the awesome Red Losteresque biscuits again tonight. They weren't as awesome as before, but they were still delicious nonetheless. I know a few of you want the recipe, but I can't give it to you because I never want to know it so I don't have the ability to make them myself. Sorries - I've gotta take the preventative measures!
I ate 3 of these...whoops. They were so easy to eat though!
After dinner, my mom, sister, and I played Skip-Bo while I munched on some watermelon.
Oh, and I won again! Woot! And after dinner, we watched IronMan 2. It was just as corny as I'd predicted, but I'm partial to explosions and poorly-written plots, so, basically, it was excellent!

After the movie, I headed back home to chat with some friends and write about my day. I also needed to lay out some of my exercise plans for next week today so I can hold myself accountable.

Last week, I mostly half-assed everything. I didn't get up in the morning at all to work out and I kinda went through the motions instead of really engaging myself. I want to blame it on hormones, but I know I could've powered through it had I really wanted to. So, tomorrow it's back to the gym!

I'm going to start with an easy day and just do some basic cardio. Monday morning I will head to the gym to do some heart rate cycling (depending on how I'm feeling teeth-wise - the motion could honestly be a bit jarring). Tuesday and Wednesday I will do a morning workout/heart rate cycling and a session with Mark. Thursday I will do a morning workout and an evening workout and Friday I will only do a morning workout. Saturday and Sunday, I'm going to be in Auburn Hills with Lisa for a wedding, so we're planning on working out, but I'm not entirely sure on the details. The point is that I'm going to get back to it. I want to be at 207 (one pound less than my lowest recorded weight) by August 20. I know I can do it!
