Swimming, Steak, and Science

The awesome thing about the beginning of today was that I slept in until 9:45. When I was in college, that was still considered super early. But now that I have to be up at 7:00 a.m. everyday,  9:45 was a lovely lie-in.

I woke up, started setting up my blog and eventually had lunch at noon. Yum, breakfast food! Mostly I've been trying to substitute turkey in for other meats since it's considerably healthier, but really, turkey bacon is not the same thing as normal bacon. Buuuut, it's got way less fat. So, I choked it down. Haha. Just kidding, it was still delicious.

So lunch was nice and delicious, especially the strawberries! After lunch, I did more blog work and then took a nap until Lisa came over at 5:00 p.m. to go splashing around swimming in the pool at my apartment complex. We didn't stay long as there were lots kids there. Gross. But it was fun for the little time that we were there.

After swimming, we came back and made steak for dinner! But the best part of our meal was definitely the potatoes. We took redskin potatoes, cut them up, added some oil, tons of garlic, rosemary, thyme, and oregano. We baked them for 25 minutes and they were awesome.

After dinner, Danny came over, and Lisa, Danny, and I played Wii Wheel of Fortune and then watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. It's hilarious because it's all about science. My favorite part? When Flint explains to the mayor how the food is becoming dangerous and the mayor simply replies, "All I heard was 'Blah, blah, blah, science, science, science.'" Awesome.
